Entertainment – We went to see Andrzej Wajda’s most recent film about Solidarity leader “Walesa.Man of Hope“, which you can still catch up in the Cineworld (Bristol) till Wednesday 30th October.

Politics – Poles applying for British passports and situation of Chechen migrants in Poland – a tight border control.

Shopping – numbers of online shoppers in Poland in comparison to other EU countries, what do elite Poles shop for and an unsuccessful signature collection for a Sunday shopping ban.

Poles Aloud in the Colston Hall’s foyer – a date for your diaries Sunday 12-01-14, 3-10pm, a few hours of Polish music, art and culture with a fabulous singer & actor Artur Gotz.

Music, sport and our usual language block; Patrycja Markowska releases her new single and video and we play one of her songs (Dzien za dniem) from the new album Alter Ego.

“Walesa. Man of Hope” – UK premier, Mr. Walesa’s turbulent journey back home, dates and times for the film in Bristol’s Cineworld plus other film related news.

Sustainable living – “A world you like – an EU communication campaign for climate action” with its aim of raising awareness about benefits for the EU of moving towards a low-carbon society. We’re going to look at the Polish winner but also at the falling cost of buying an apartment in Poland.

Teacher’s Day in Poland – celebrations to honour teachers for their special contributions in a particular field area, or the community in general.

Football – looking back at the build up to the match, Polish and English fans, the game itself and its aftermath for some (aka Polish national team’s coach – bye bye baby!).

And Poland did manage to win something :) – well done to Szymon Skalski who’s been crowned Red Bull Street Style World Champion.
