Filipinki & Alibabki - paving the way for girls’ bands, those two unique at the time groups had emerged from high school choirs to take the Polish music scene by storm. Unlike the modern girls’ bands with each and every group member being different, Filipinki & Alibabki wore the same outfits, same hair cut and none of them followed a solo career, making the groups last for over decades.

We’re also looking at some interesting statistics when it comes to Poles getting engaged with charity, volunteering and in general, with the local community.

You might remember that the census 2011 brought some interesting facts about the language distribution in UK, namely that Polish is now the main language spoken in England after English.
